Welcome to the TradeSkillMaster 4 Beta Program. This document sets out to get you started with TSM4 including joining our Discord server then setting up and installing the application and addon files. Please ensure you read this entire document and follow every step carefully before reporting issues.
Before anything is explained and before you start you need to join the TradeSkillMaster Discord server. You can join it by visiting http://discord.gg/woweconomy
There is a specific #beta channel in the TradeSkillMaster category which is where we are handling discussion, feedback and issue reports for the Beta program. We will not be fielding Beta support requests on reddit, Twitter or in the other public Discord channels.
In order to access the #beta Discord channel you must ‘login’ with the TSM Bot using the email address you signed up to the tradeskillmaster.com site
Left-clicking the TSMBot in the memberlist allows you to send a message as follows:
In the ‘Message @TSMBot’ section, you would send a !login command followed by your registered email address. For example: !login email@example.com
This is a beta program, which means the addon is not in a finished or complete state. We require your feedback and bug reports in order to make this beta a success and release the best version of TSM to the wider community. Should you encounter an error in game you will see a dialog window as such:
Please fill in the steps you took before the error appeared! These error messages are automatically reported back to the TSM team via the Desktop Application, so please be as descriptive as possible. Once you have typed out the steps leading up to the error, you can click Done or if the error persists you can click Reload UI.
CURRENTLY KNOWN ISSUES
We have a list of known issues in the beta, this list will be added to and updated as bugs or features are addressed.
INSTALLING THE BETA
Make sure that your TSM Desktop Application has been updated to version r400
You can check this by looking at the top of your application window:
Click on the Settings button in the top right corner of your Desktop application and in the General tab, select the ‘Beta (TSM4)’ option in the Release Channel. This will set your TSM Desktop application to download and install the TSM4 beta files. After selecting the correct Release Channel, click Done.
You’re now ready to log in to your game client. At this time you do not need to remove or delete any addon files/folders. After you log in to the game TSM will automatically detect the old modules and disable them, you will be required to click Reload when it prompts you.
Please note, any unofficial modules such as PriceChecker, PriceReply or CompetitorTracker should be disabled manually as they will not function in TSM4.
